Powered Industrial Truck-Forklift-Lift Truck CLASSROOM COURSE (HANDS ON AVAILABLE)

OSHA Regulation 1910.178 states that only trained and authorized employees shall be permitted to operate a powered industrial truck (forklift). The United Safety Council offers a certified program that is ideal for new operators as well as experienced ones. The 4-hr program is a basic safety awareness course, which we offer in our facilities, and may be taught on-site. The 8-hr program is taught on-site where familiar surroundings, traffic conditions, and material handling requirements combined with specialized instruction provide your employees with the most effective training possible. Each employee’s skills must evaluate initially and every three years.

• Emergency procedures, and much more!

Course length and materials:

• The theory course is four hours and the theory course with skills evaluation is eight hours.
• Each participant will receive educational material and a wallet card indicating satisfactory course completion.

 NOTE: By just completing the 4-hour awareness course participants with no experience are not fully certified. They must have their skills evaluated using the equipment they will operate on the job – this is an OSHA requirement
