This 4-hour course meets OSHA standard 29CFR1910.146. A confined space has limited or restricted means of entry or exit, is large enough for an employee to enter and perform assigned work, and is not designed for continuous occupancy. These spaces may include, but are not limited to, underground vaults, tanks, storage bins, pits and diked areas, vessels, and silos. It is an OSHA requirement that employers train workers who are required to work in permit-required confined spaces, before the initial work assignment begins. Training is also required for rescue team members, who must also be certified in First Aid and CPR. Students will receive educational material and a certificate of completion.
