Forklift Certification Classroom Course

Class Description:
OSHA Regulation 1910.178 states that only trained & authorized employees shall be permitted to operate a Forklift

This program is ideal for new operators as well & experienced operators needing to renew their certification, required every 3 years. Topics include: basic operating rules; forks & brakes; operator safety; load capacity & load center; stacking & un-stacking; cleaning, refueling and recharging; daily inspections; emergency procedures & more.

Note: In addition to this "classroom" training, Forklift operators must also have a "hands-on" skills evaluation conducted. The "hands-on" skills evaluations can be conducted internally by employers, but must be conducted by a fully certified Forklift Operator.

United Safety Council can conduct the "hands-on" skills evaluations by request, which are scheduled at a separate time following the classroom course. There is an additional fee for the "hands-on" skills evaluations when conducted by United Safety Council.
